Beginning in November, 2023, a cohort consisting of Bryan Ortega-Welch, Nao Kono, Momoko Kono, Red Dot School board member Yoshishige Kawamoto, Tokyo Geijustu Daigaku student & Red Dot School alumni Yosuke Tsurui, & Regional Revitalization workers Yukia Nakazono & Jun Nakamura will conduct the following activities while in residence on the island:

This same cohort will also conduct a site visit to a disused agricultural structure near Mukouda Port. This site was suggested by its owner as available for renovation and creative reuse. We will develop an architectural scheme for this site that involves the short-term and long-term storage of reclaimed objects/material from island akiya.
この同じグループは、向田港近くの使用されていない農業構造物への現地調査も行います。この場所は、所有者によって改装および創造的な再利用に向けて利用可能であると提案されました。私たちは、この場所に対して、島の空き家から回収した物品や材料の短期および長期の保管を含む建築計画を開発します。
In 2024, we invite University of Tokyo, Hiroshima University, & Melboure University students as well as Red Dot School studio members to participate in the first phase of our next deconstruction project—a 100-year old two-unit rental house just in front of Sunoe Beach. Working with an expert plaster, the mud walls (tsuchikabe) will be removed, sifted and stored for later use. Students will create bespoke 1:1 fragment models of mud walls, to be stored and exhibited on the island.
The resulting wall-less structure will be cleaned and prepared for a temporary existence as a public pavilion, prior to its full deconstruction in 2025. Through modification, recontextualization, and adornment, the bones of the old house laid bare should exude a welcoming and celebratory air.
2024年、私たちは東京大学、広島大学、メルボルン大学の学生およびレッドドットスクールのスタジオメンバーを招待して、次の解体プロジェクトの第一段階に参加していただきます。それは須之江ビーチのすぐ前にある100年前の二戸建て賃貸住宅です。専門の左官と共に、泥壁（つちかべ）は取り外され、ふるいにかけられ、後で使用するために保管されます。学生たちは泥壁の特注1:1フラグメントモデルを作成し、島内に保管して展示します。
結果として壁がない構造物は、2025年の完全な解体に先立ち、一時的な公共のパビリオンとして清掃され準備されます。改造、再文脈化、装飾により、むき出しになった古い家の骨組みは、歓迎され、祝祭的な雰囲気を醸し出すべきです。
